Hey everyone!

First of all: Happy Easter and massive eggs (hopefully not the wrong ones xD)! It’s been a minute since I reached out to you guys, so I have a lot to get off my chest! Let’s go c:

My spontaneous vacation in the hospital

Honestly, I am just damn glad to be able to write this right now. The last few weeks were either a massive mental rollercoaster for me, or I just suddenly ended up in the hospital. Yep, exactly, I was surprised too xD

When I showed up at the doctor’s with severe dizziness, it became clear pretty quickly that something deeper was wrong. Just to be safe, the doc called an ambulance and I ended up in the ER. Back and forth, and in the end it was clear: my appendix wasn’t just inflamed, it was on the verge of bursting. Fucking fantastic.

On top of that, it had apparently been festering for a while and ended up triggering blood poisoning (sepsis). Yaaay, jackpot, Soph! ;__;

Anyway, I had emergency surgery that very same night and had to stay in the hospital for a few days until I could somewhat walk again, and more importantly, until the sepsis wasn’t life-threatening anymore. The numbers were going down, but yeah… they didn’t want to risk anything.

TL;DR: I’m back home, taking my meds like a good girl, and hoping things will slowly start looking up again :3 I still feel pretty weak and sleep a lot, but hey, at least I get to sleep in my own bed now lol.

kuehn.studio and the “next migration steps”

Which brings us to why kuehn.studio didn’t replace Deviantart right after launch like I promised… yeah, do I really need to explain much more? xD

Bit by bit, between my random nap sessions, I’ll be editing the posts on Deviantart so they don’t contain the full text anymore, but instead link to the corresponding chapter on kuehn.studio. At the same time, the site will be open4all, with the free chapters available even without a Patreon membership. So for anyone who’s already a Patreon member, nothing should really change.

For those who are still Deviantart supporters right now: Don’t forget to cancel your premium!

As for new content, meaning new chapters & entirely new stories, I’d ask you for a little bit of patience. Recovery is my absolute top priority right now, and for writing I need time, the right mood, and obviously a certain level of creativity, which honestly suffers a bit under this constant brain-fog of painkillers xD

Buuuut: I actually took some notes in the hospital whenever I had a random spontaneous idea c: Until then: Feel free to checkout the book “Sophie”, even if you’ve already read the “old” story on Deviantart: It’s totally worth it. Even people other than me can confirm that by now, which has reassured me quite a bit xD As soon as I’m feeling fitter, there’ll be new stuff for you little doormats <3
